Some of that was in-game. Before this trailer though, they showed FFXIV in play at Leipzig or Gamescon or w/e:

XIII.
Don't know anything significant about Versus and I played XI so I have some apprehension about another SE MMO. It looks visually pretty in the trailer, but I'd want to see the battle system and the particulars of the game world. A beta would show the game off well enough. At heart, I'm a bigger fan of singleplayer games anyway.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that about the dual shock...
It's great that Sony has already attached their thing to a genre I'd actually play...(still waiting for MS to do the same), but it doesn't SOUND very optimal here for RE5.
Yeah, I can't disagree, there's a LOT of GeoW in that trailer. Big things like the dashing... and small things like the weapon select...very reminiscent.
To their credit, it looks very Western. But it's also got a lot of the flair Japanese games are known for in the melee/combo attacks.
Don't bother me for the next 30 minutes...
Actually that answers my question in the first few comments.
So hopefully this will result in some good stuff and convince other devs to sit at the table. I've still a host of doubts, but more support means it's more likely a few of those devs will make a Natal game I'll want to play.
Come for the article, not the sensationalism...
Raystorm HD, nice... Only kind of interested in 0 Day.
As for Natal, are they just talking about it more? Or have any of these guys signed on to actually make stuff?
Excuse me?
"that's where the real achievements in user content are made"
I can't wrap my head around that.
When you can literally design items and characters from scratch on PC... When you have something like CS which started as a mod and went on to become one of the most popular PC games ever made... These are things which haven't been done and likely can't be done on consoles.
How is near limitless PC modding "too simple&quo...
They don't have a slim up their sleeves. They have Natal. They've said this time and time again: the next major renovation of the 360 is Natal. To borrow an old expression, if they announce a slim, I'll eat my hat.
"Looks decent, not really hyped for it though."
Eh, I thought there was something official behind this.
Article is more like: "Here's 5 'Halo' Sequels We'd Like to See"
Damn good question these days.
I think a better question is: will it also be available as DLC?
I'm reminded of the Witcher Enhanced Edition and Director's Cut. You could either buy the box with some extras or download it free if you already bought and registered the the regular edition. Ok, I don't expect other devs to give new stuff for free. But please, at least consider DLC. There's no good reason people who already bought the game should have to pay full price fo...
Terminator is a movie franchise, not a game thing. The games were NEVER good. Why is it even there?
MGS? That's just silly.
On the other hand I agree with Phantasy Star. PS is sad. Boy, do I miss the days when they made singleplayer instead of selling out to the MMO frenzy. Worse, they support an offline mode in PSOs, but it's as crappy as you can expect in a predominately online game. Even worse, the online support is CRAP compared to pretty much any other online g...
What about?
...Can we get some alternate sources?
This site sucks.
We've plenty of talent in the industry. No question.
"Where are the creators able to generate this kind of emotion? Where are they? They’re nowhere just because video games at the moment is a very conservative industry.”
That, I can understand to a degree...
Gaming is still largely regarded as a kid's thing and games are mostly made to appeal to young males. Big explosions, short campaigns, and a simple story: save something. And too many times, a...
He was talking about the original leak which quoted the tester saying that "Mass Effect felt more RPG" in comparison to AP.
Which I have to agree, is still a pretty big leap in logic to ME confirmed on PS3.
Wholeheartedly agree.
The defining aspect of games is user interaction. They should keep exploiting that not run away from it to be more like films.
I love that in some games you can thoroughly unearth the entire plot based on how you PLAY, like Braid. You can be the casual player and "save the princess" (the end of which has a great twist on its own) or you can dig deeper and get the real story behind the façade.
Gotta give Obsidian the benefit of the doubt here. I know they know how to make RPGs because they've done so since they were known as Black Isle.
I expected this to be a bit better. All they've really reiterated is "oh, the possibilities" for the tenth time. Would've been more interesting if they passed a bong around or something...
